Welcome to the Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Association (”CNYBBA”) Web Site. This organization was formed in 1991 by attorneys practicing in the area of Bankruptcy Law who had identified the need for bankruptcy education programs, a forum for the exchange of ideas and the discussion of problems related to the practice of Bankruptcy Law.

Among its many activities, the CNYBBA sponsors an annual Bankruptcy scholarship competition at Syracuse University College of Law, and sends volunteers into local area high schools as part of the C.A.R.E. (Credit Abuse Resistance Education) Program, educating young people in the use of credit. The Association also hosts luncheon seminars throughout the year which qualify for Continuing Legal Education credit.

In the Fall of each year the Association co-sponsors a two day Bankruptcy Conference which attracts distinguished lecturers and jurists from all across the country.
